I'm Asian, pretty common in my generation to get hit by our parents. Majority doesn't end up in those scenarios.
As with everything, there are variables to this. We learn and understand why we get hit, and not to do it again.

Times have changed tho, can't be hitting kids willy nilly. I have a kid. Never hit him ever... yet. Coz he's well behaved in the first place.

Ignore those crybabies. seriously when u do something wrong even do something worse u get punish it. Those punishments were meant to teach kids that bad action get consequences. As long as punishment dnt go extrem kids will learn how to behave . This is what west lacking and as these consequences you get shcool shooters and other f%ked up things. You know what else is common in the asian generation? Generational trauma. Expecting kids to become career jobs that the parents couldnt do so forcing it upon their kids. A few to name, lawyers and doctors. there is a reason asian families gaslight their kids when it comes to depression and mental illness. The fact that the first thing asian families do is deny it and tell their kids "theyre making it up". hide it instead of accepting it exists because it will hurt social pride. This concept is above them. They cant brag their kids got depression at social gatherings which is their main concern rather than the wellbeing of their child.
